A crisis has engulfed the Ahoada East Local Government Area, with reports emerging that the Administrator, Honourable Goodluck M. Iheamnacho, has been allegedly forced to resign. According to sources, Iheamnacho tendered a resignation letter to the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ikwo-Ete Ekwe Ibas (Rtd).

Alleged Resignation Letter
The purported resignation letter, which has sparked controversy, reads: “Sequel to the above subject matter, I humbly write to your noble office to convey to you my resignation as the Administrator of Ahoada East Local Government Area. My decision is informed by my desire to return back to the private sector.” However, sources close to the matter suggest that Iheamnacho’s resignation was not voluntary, but rather a result of alleged masterminds who forced him out of office.

Error in Date Sparks Fear
An error in the date on the resignation letter has sent palpable fear among those alleged resignation letter. The letter mentions Iheamnacho’s tenure as Administrator from April 11, 2025, to July 20, 2025, but the discrepancy in dates has raised questions about the legitimacy of the resignation.

Police Take Over Administrative Block
In a bid to restore order, the Police have taken over the administrative block of the Ahoada East Local Government Area. Currently, no entry of staff and members of the public is allowed inside the premises, as the Police work to maintain law and order in the area.

The development has sparked concerns about the stability and governance of the local government area, and further investigations are needed to unravel the circumstances surrounding Iheamnacho’s alleged forced resignation.
