MARY AMAECHI, RESPECTED COMMUNITY LEADER AND MOTHER OF ROTIMI AMAECHI, DIES AT 89

Mary Amaechi, the respected community leader and mother of former Minister of Transportation and African Democratic Congress (ADC) vice-presidential candidate, Rotimi Amaechi, has died at the age of 89.

The family announced her passing in a statement issued on Thursday through Rotimi Amaechi’s media office.

According to the statement, the late Mary Amaechi was a revered matriarch whose life was distinguished by love, unwavering faith, and selfless service to humanity. She was described as a respected community women leader and a devoted Christian whose steadfast belief in God earned her widespread admiration and respect.

The statement further noted that she played a pivotal role in promoting unity within her family and was widely known for her warmth, kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for people both within and beyond her community.

The Amaechi family expressed profound appreciation for the outpouring of condolences, prayers, and support received from friends, associates, supporters, and well-wishers following her death.

The family also announced that details of her funeral arrangements will be made public in due course, while thanking everyone for their prayers and continued support during this period of mourning.
