AMAOGE BOZIMO CROWNED MISS NIGER DELTA 2025/2026

The celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC took place in a blaze of glory with Miss Amaoge Bozimo, an 18-year-old medical student at Nile University, Abuja, haven been crowned Miss Niger Delta 2025/2026.

Representing Bayelsa State, Amaoge emerged winner of the prestigious beauty pageant, which formed part of the Niger Delta Development Commission’s (NDDC) grand 25th Anniversary celebrations. The final event took place at the EUI Event Center in Port Harcourt, graced by distinguished guests including high profile politicians from across the Niger Delta region.

About the Winner

Amaoge hails from Angalabri Town in Sagbama Local Government Area, Bayelsa State. She is the daughter of the late Chief Gordon Bozimo, former Chairman of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Board, and Dr. (Mrs.) Tari Bozimo, a scholar with a doctoral degree in Educational Management.

About the Pageant

Over 140 contestants from the nine states of the Niger Delta—Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Imo, Ondo, and Rivers, participated in the keenly contested pageant. After rigorous auditions, grooming sessions, and competitive rounds, one finalist from each state advanced to the grand finale.

At the conclusion of the event, Amaoge Bozimo was declared winner and crowned Miss Niger Delta, earning the title Ambassador of Peace and Development. She received a ₦10 million cash prize and a brand-new sedan car as part of her winnings.

Words from the Winner’s Mother

Speaking at the sidelines of the event, Dr. (Mrs.) Tari Bozimo expressed heartfelt gratitude to the NDDC and its Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, for organizing what she described as a transparent and impactful event, “this milestone is significant in the life of my daughter,” she said. “She has made me, Bayelsa State, and the entire Niger Delta proud. I thank God and commend Dr. Ogbuku for his vision. May this experience teach my daughter to serve the Niger Delta people with humility.” she concluded.

The event has been widely hailed as a cultural and social milestone in the region, with the pageant offering a platform for young women to represent beauty, intellect, and leadership in the Niger Delta.
