CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FROM THE ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS (APC) RIVERS STATE CHAPTER, ON THE DEMISE OF FORMER PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI, GCFR
With deep sorrow and profound respect, we, the members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rivers State Chapter, extend heartfelt condolences to the family of His Excellency, former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, the government and people of Katsina State, and indeed the entire nation, on the passing of a revered leader and elder statesman.
President Muhammadu Buhari was not just a man, he was an institution. A towering figure in Nigeria’s political and military history, he exemplified patriotism, discipline, integrity, and unwavering commitment to national service. His leadership, spanning decades, left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s democratic journey and institutional governance.
From his days as a military Head of State to his historic return as a democratically elected President, President Buhari remained a symbol of resilience and national rebirth. Under his stewardship, Nigeria witnessed bold efforts in anti-corruption, infrastructural renewal, and agricultural reform. His legacy will continue to shape the political and developmental landscape of our dear country for generations to come.
As a State Chapter of the APC, we acknowledge his pivotal role in the formation and success of the All Progressives Congress, a party he helped build with vision and uncommon fortitude. His principled stance, spartan lifestyle, and focus on national unity remain a guiding compass for all of us in leadership today.
To his beloved wife, Aisha Buhari, his children, and the larger Buhari family, we pray for God’s comfort, strength, and peace.
May God forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him eternal rest. Amen.
