LADY DORIS AZIKE’S SON, JOHN CHIDERA AZIKE JR., WEDS IFEANYI IN MARYLAND, USA
It was a moment of joy, elegance, and cultural pride as Ezinne Lady Doris Azike celebrated the wedding of her eldest son, John Chidera Azike Jr., to his heartthrob, Ifeanyi, in a grand ceremony held in Maryland, United States of America.
In an earlier message filled with excitement, Lady Doris Azike had announced: “I’m super excited to inform you that my eldest son, John Azike Jr., and his wife, Ifeanyi, will be getting married on Friday, April 24, 2026. My family would appreciate your presence at the wedding.”
True to expectation, the crème de la crème of society gathered on Friday, April 24, 2026, for the solemnization of the holy matrimony at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Windsor Mill, Maryland. The church ceremony, which commenced at 1:00 PM, was marked by reverence, joy, and the blessings of family and friends.
Following the church service, guests proceeded to the elegant reception held at Anchor Inn, Pasadena, Maryland, where festivities began with a cocktail hour from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The celebration continued with a vibrant wedding reception and traditional rites from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, showcasing rich Nigerian Igbo cultural heritage blended seamlessly with modern flair. Guests adorned in formal and traditional attire added colour and glamour to the occasion.

The high-society event attracted distinguished Nigerians from across the globe, making it a truly international gathering. Notably, members of the Alumni, Alvan Ikoku College of Education Owerri (now Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education), North America chapter, were prominently represented. The delegation was led Ozo Tony Nwabunnia the National President of Alvan ’80s USA North America chapter with Hon. Ogechi Nwanekwu which including other eminent personalities such a Ignatius Ngobili, Ngozi Okolo, and others.
Also present was Mrs. Priscilla Iwuanyanwu, younger sister of the late Engineer Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, accompanied by her children, adding further prestige to the gathering.
During the reception at Anchor Inn, members of the Alvan ’80s USA North America chapter were seated at Table 6, where they honoured their colleague, Ezinne Lady Doris Azike, in celebration of her son’s union. Among those present were Kelechi Aguguo, Dr. Emmanuel Mgboji, Peacemaker Mgboji, Ignatius Ngobili, Sir Ogechi Nwanekwu, Anthony Nwabunnia, Nancy Nwabunnia, Ngozi Okolo, Chief Anthony Olemgbe, and Philomina Olemgbe.
The beautifully organized ceremony reflected love, unity, and a deep sense of family heritage. It was indeed a glorious wedding—one that will remain memorable in the hearts of all who attended.
