 HOW FCT MINISTER NYESOM WIKE’S  LOYALISTS WHO RESIGNED FROM GOV. FABARA’S CABINET WERE REWARDED WITH  FEDERAL APPOINTMENTS

The recent political appointments across the country made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has favoured the people of Rivers state as 13 members of the cabinet of Gov. Siminialayi Fubara are now occupying juicy positions into the Management Boards of the Governing Councils of Federal Colleges of Education, Universities , Polytechnics and other federal Government institutions across the country. In the list are Dr. Ipalibo Macdonald Harry a former Federal Commissioner National Population Commission and former P.A to Late Dr. Marshal Harry. He is now Member of the Governing Council  Federal University of Health,  Azare, Bauchi state. 

Isobo Jack who was a former Sole Administrator of Rivers state Waste Management agency-RIWAMA under Gov. Fubara and former Commissioner of Environment under Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, is now Member of the Governing Council Alex Ekwueme University,  Ebonyi state.  Senator George Thompson Sekibo who just completed his 8-years as House of Representative member and 8-years as Senator Rivers East is now Chairman of the Governing Council Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas Bonny Island Rivers state.

  Barrister Oshima Gina, former Commission in Gov. Fubara’s cabinet is now a member Federal Polytechnic, Ukana, Akwa Ibom state. Former Commissioner and former member Rivers state House of assembly representing Eleme state Constituency, Hon. Marcus Nle Eji is member of the governing Board of Federal Polytechnic Isuochi Abia state. Mrs. Ukiel Oyaghire, wife of Late Oyaghire former Commissioner of Finance under Dr. Peter Odili,  a former Commissionerfor Women Affairs and social Development made the list as she is appointed as member Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra state.  Baridakara K. Gbarto is appointed as a member of Federal Polytechnic Daura, Katsina state.

The widow and wife of late Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General-Emmanuel Aguma,  Mrs Inime Aguma who was Commissioner in the administration Gov. Fubara is now Member Federal College of Education Oyo, Oyo state.  Honourable Prince Akekue Melubari former Commissioner Rivers state Civil Service Commission and former member Governing Council of Rivers state Polytechnic Bori now Ken Saro Wiwa Polytechnic Bori  a former Banker is now Chairman of Governing Council of Federal College of Education Eha Amufu, Enugu State where he will sit on top of the affairs of the institution. the former Education Commissioner Prof. Prince Chinedu Mmom is an appointed member of the Federal College of Education Potiskum, Yobe state. Chukwu Nwanodu, a former Executive Council member under Gov. Fubara, is now Member Federal College of Education (Technical) Akoka Lagos.

Engr. Emeka Woke was the first to be rewarded with appointment as Managing Director of a River Basin Authority in South western Nigeria, as he was Chief of staff to Governor Wike and later Commissioner for Special Duties in Sir Siminialayi Fubara’s administration as he reigned twice in solidarity to other loyalists of the FCT Minister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike. Dr. Alabo George Dax Kelly a former Commissioner For Works under Gov. Fubara who also resigned twice is now Director General Border Communities Commission with Office at Abuja.

Dr. Jacobson Nbina, a former Chairman of Tai Local Government Area and former Commissioner of Transportation under Gov. Siminialayi Fubara is now appointed Member Governing Council of Federal College of Education Ondo, State. High Chief Kadilo Kabari is now appointed as Member Governing Council of University of Port Harcourt.

The political battle of  supremacy and politics of intrigues now raging on between FCT Minister  Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and his political godson Gov. Fubara has really divided the Rivers state political landscape into several groups with divergent political opinions and several legal battles now in the various Federal High Courts and State High Courts. It has become a matter of non legal practitioners taking up spaces at various entertainment joints and even churches where they sit down and analyze the decisions and rulings of the Judges.
