SENATOR ALLWELL ONYESOH SET TO DELIVER TALK ON INVESTMENT WINDOWS FOR JOURNALISTS & RIVERS STATE AT CORRESPONDENTS’ CHAPEL NUJ PRESS WEEK
The Senator representing Rivers East Senatorial District Distinguished Senator Allwell Onyesoh will on Friday 15th of December, 2023 deliver talk on Investment Windows for Journalists and Rivers state, which will be at the Dinner/Award night for the 2023 Press Week of members of Correspondents’’ Chapel Nigerian Union of Journalists Rivers state Council slated for 4pm and to take place at the NBA Hall 2 opposite Port Harcourt City Council Headquarters Bank Road Old GRA Port Harcourt. The central Theme of the 2023 Press Week is titled RIVERS STATE AND THE QUEST FOR AN IDEAL INVESTMENT CLIMATE: ROLE OF THE MEDIA as the sub theme: Need for a blend of Infrastructure and entrepreneurship for accelerated economic growth is going to make great impact on the business community in Rivers state.
The one-week event will commence on Monday 11th of December 2023 with the opening ceremony which has the Executive governor Sir Siminialayi Fubara as the Special Guest of Honour. Other dignitaries expected to take part in the ceremony include Professor BB Fakae former Vice Chancellor Rivers state University of Science and Technology now Rivers state University Nkpolu Orowurokwo Port Harcourt as Chairman of the Opening ceremony, Chief, Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji (DMP, NPoM, DSSRS, OON) Chairman and CEO of Elschcon Nig. Ltd who has been slated as Keynote Speaker.
Other Special guests are Hon. Commissioner for Information and Communications Warisenibo Joseph Johnson, All Commissioners, House Committees Chairman on Information/Communications, Local Government Area Chairmen, selected captains of industries, business tycoons, Media chiefs, and Journalists.
The members of the Correspondents’ Chapel NUJ will be expected to pay facility visit at Bobtrack Tractors NIg.Ltd, Old Peoples Home Borokiri, Priesthood Orphanage Home Elelenwo Port Harcourt.
The Director, Corporate Affairs Division NDDC Dr. Pius Ughakpoteni will on Friday during the Dinner/Award Night present speech on Challenges of Journalism Practice In Present Day Economic Situation. There will recognition of Special Friends of the Correspondents’ Chapel as Distinguished Senator Allwell Onyesoh will be presented Certificate of Honour as Special Friend alongside Hon. ALABO Chris Finebone former Commissioner for Information and Communications. Corporate Awards will go to NLNG and INDORAMA Nigeria Petrochemical industries as individual award will go to Kindsley Wenenda wali Esq.
The event will end with Church Thanksgiving service on Sunday 17th o December, 2023 at Glorious Destiny family Church, Borokiri Town Port Harcourt.
