Iho Dimeze Ancient Kingdom, Ikeduru LGA, Imo State — In a royal display of cultural unity and recognition of excellence, the tranquil town of Iho Dimeze will on Saturday, December 27, 2025, witness a grand traditional ceremony as Ms. Angel Okoyeocha, Chief Executive Officer of De Chic Beauty Home Ltd, Port Harcourt, receives one of the kingdom’s highest honours — the prestigious chieftaincy title of “NWANYI UKWU DI NA MBA I OF IHO DIMEZE ANCIENT KINGDOM.”

The colourful investiture, to be held at the Royal Palace of His Royal Majesty, Eze (Dr.) Martin Chieze Amaku, Dimeze II of Iho Dimeze Ancient Kingdom, will attract eminent personalities, titled chiefs, and dignitaries from across Nigeria and beyond.

A Crown of Honour and Unity

In a statement from the Palace of Dimeze II, the Eze-in-Council described Ms. Okoyeocha as “a woman whose achievements transcend borders, reflecting industriousness, integrity, and compassion — virtues that embody the very essence of Iho Dimeze’s royal values.”

His Royal Majesty, Eze (Dr.) Martin Chieze Amaku, emphasized that the conferment celebrates “a great woman of influence beyond borders — a rare gem whose good works in business and human development have touched lives across Nigeria and the diaspora.”

The royal honour, he explained, also reinforces the historic cultural bond between the people of Imo and Anambra States, symbolizing inter-community unity and shared Igbo heritage.

A Journey of Vision and Grace

For Ms. Angel Okoyeocha, the path to honour began more than three decades ago. In 1994, she founded De Chic Beauty Home in Delta State — a modest beginning that blossomed into a continental enterprise after relocating to Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Through vision, resilience, and innovation, she built De Chic Beauty Home Ltd into a reputable brand synonymous with quality, creativity, and empowerment. Today, the brand operates beyond Nigeria, with a presence in Maryland, USA, where Ms. Okoyeocha is also a licensed cosmetologist and beauty therapist.

In February 2024, she marked the 30th Anniversary of De Chic Beauty Home Ltd, celebrating three decades of transforming beauty therapy and fashion across Africa and the diaspora.

Afrocentric Fashion Meets Global Appeal

Beyond her beauty enterprise, Ms. Okoyeocha is the creative force behind the De Chic Beauty Cloth Line, an Afrocentric fashion label renowned for its vibrant unisex designs that merge Ankara artistry with contemporary elegance.

Her brand’s Afro-urban styles have gained admiration among African-American communities in the United States, where her work continues to promote cultural pride and African identity on global fashion stages.

Through her trade in ornaments, accessories, and bespoke fashion items, she offers clients a complete experience that celebrates African heritage with modern sophistication.

Philanthropy and Empowerment

Away from the glamour of fashion and beauty, Ms. Okoyeocha has remained committed to youth empowerment and community development. Over the years, she has trained numerous Gen Z youths across Nigeria in entrepreneurial and vocational skills, helping them chart paths toward self-reliance and financial independence.

Her philanthropic work — often quiet yet impactful — has changed lives and earned her respect as a mentor, humanitarian, and mother figure to many aspiring entrepreneurs.

A devoted mother and family woman, she embodies humility and compassion, values deeply cherished by her community and clients alike.

A Royal Recognition Well Deserved

For the Iho Dimeze Ancient Kingdom, honouring Ms. Angel Okoyeocha as “NWANYI UKWU DI NA MBA I” is both symbolic and significant. It recognizes her not only as a successful entrepreneur but also as a cultural ambassador and bridge-builder whose influence unites people across borders.

As the royal drums prepare to echo through the palace courtyard of Eze (Dr.) Martin Chieze Amaku, Dimeze II, on that auspicious December day, the people of Iho Dimeze will celebrate not just a woman, but a legacy — one defined by excellence, service, and grace.

Indeed, Ms. Angel Okoyeocha’s coronation as “NWANYI UKWU DI NA MBA I OF IHO DIMEZE ANCIENT KINGDOM” will remain a historic testament to the timeless truth that virtue and hard work are always worthy of honour.
