WHEN DE CHIC BEAUTY HOME CELEBRATES 30 YEARS IN BEAUTY AND FASHION BUSINESS AT PORT HARCOURT

Sunday 25day of February, 2024 was a day set aside for De Chic Beauty Home Limited celebration of a wonderful and successful 30 years in the beauty and fashion industry. The celebrant Ms Angel Okoyeocha  a United States of America USA based beautician and Cosmetologist gathered her friends and well-wishers who all honoured her with their presence and the city of Port Harcourt was set agog with a week full of activities starting with Wednesday 21st of February 2024 visit to Home for the Elderly off Harbour Road Port Harcourt township where the Catholic Church administers and manages the activities. The CEO of De Chic Beauty Home in the company of her staff and friends donated household items ranging from toiletries, sanitary materials and key provisions. Then on Thursday 22nd of February 2024 CEO of De Chic Beauty Home took time to train for free women who want to have first-hand knowledge in the management of basic beauty therapy. Then on 24th being  Saturday, February 2024 the City of Port Harcourt witnessed aerobic performance at the Premises of De Chic Beauty Home from where the train consisting of family members, friends and some of her clients took to the major streets of Port Harcourt in a scintillating gyration grove round the town in procession of jolly filled rally dancing and informing members of the public about the coming event of the celebration of 30th Anniversary ceremony of De Chic Beauty Home Ltd.

On the appointed D-Day being Sunday 25th of February, 2024 the street of Eligbam in Orazi community of GRA Phase 3 was totally closed for De Chic Beauty Home as a mark of respect and honour to a successful lady of immense quality whose contributions to her host community remains so huge in terms of training the youths for free and provision of other social services to her immediate environ as her Corporate Social Responsibility CSR.

Beginning from 12noon when the invited guests began to troop into the event arena live band led by Port Harcourt Showbiz Lady IB and her musical band took the centre stage entertaining the guests with sounds of yesteryears in nostalgia and reminiscences of olden days gyration. The popular On- Air- Personalities of Evangelist Open Teeth of Family Love 97.7Fm Station Port Harcourt was the anchor Master of Ceremony with Double T, Mr. Timi Dare of Super 93.3 Fm Station On-Air-Personality being the bigger anchor MC and both set the event on a higher pedestal with jokes and fun-filled thrilling moments.

The highlight of the 30th Anniversary of De Chic Beauty Home was the launching of 500 Less privilege training of individuals in skill acquisition by the Chief Executive Officer of De Chic Beauty Home Ltd. During the 500 less privileged training launches several individuals made financial contributions including Chief (Barr.) Dr Tonte Horsfall, Chief Dr. Emmanuel Opararugo CEO Wingate Hotels and Mary Pennie, Prince Noble Amadi and Mr. Fubara who pledged two Hundred Thousand naira(N200,000.00) for the training of Less privileged individuals by De Chic Beauty Home Ltd.

Chief Executive Officer of de chic Beauty home Ms Angel Okoyeocha in her speech thanked everyone who found time to be with her during the celebration and she promised to increase her dedication to the service of humanity through her new initiatives of training 500 less privileged individuals in skill acquisition in beauty and fashion businesses with the contributions of her friends and well-wishers.

When it was time for goodwill messages by guests who graced the occasion Ms Ebis Alfred said “I am very pleased here. I pray to God De Chic Beauty Home will continue to be a blessing to the entire world.” And for Nkem Innocent “De Chic beauty Home is really a place to be for everything beauty and more.” Dr. (Mrs.) Obianma Reason Onya said “It has stood the test of time as a lovely place. I wish her all the best.” Chinedu Ogu, a Prolific Journalist in his remark wrote “She has done well; she raised the bar in the beauty care industry in the city and I wish her well.” For Chief Prince Noble Amadi JP “many Thanks to God for sustaining De Chic Beauty Home for the past 30 years. The success recorded so far is indeed great and commendable.”

Chief (Barr.) Dr. Tonte Horsfall in his remark wrote “This is just 30 years ago and the beginning of good things to come, God’s speed.”

Barr. Kay Chile also said “De Chic Beauty Home is an excellent place of beauty and fashion. The CEO is just energetic and inspiring.” Mr and Mrs. Nyesom Amadi also eulogized the celebrant by saying “Colourful event I will encourage guests to contribute in patronage kind warm regards.” Chief (Dr.) Emmanuel Oparaugo CEO of Wingate Home Hotel Ltd said “the management and Staff of Wingate Hotel wish her more fruitful years in the beauty and fashion business.” Pretty looking Ms. Queen Michael said “ De Chic is a very nice woman, she is my best hair stylist.” For Matthew Omoregbe “The growth and size of De Chic Beauty Home today is as a testament to the strong will and management cum business acumen of the CEO. Great Job to De Chic Beauty Home.”  

Princess Ngozi A.T Dogwu “This is awesome May God Almighty keep De Chic well preserved, protected and provided for always In Jesus Chris Mighty name…Amen.” B.M Zidowa wrote “ it is fantastic for the Proprietress to maintain De Chic Beauty Home for 3 decades. No doubt, it started from the little beginning and became a big business overtime. My heart is uplifted for her.” For Miss Lois Zidougha “I am thankful to God for making De Chic Beauty Home a success for these 30 years. I wish her double blessings with each passing year.”

A family member, Pastor Prophetess Angela Nwocha, said “I am thankful to god for keeping De Chic Beauty Home for 30 years and for keeping De Chic herself alive without no sickness etc. We just have to give glory to God.” Many more guests poured out their heartfelt felicitations in their goodwill messages Lolo Jacob Akaninwor from Orazi community wrote “she is a nice person and a business personified she helps the needy.” Stella Omekara in her remarks said “A smart and industrious personality. Keep up the good job wishing you many more years ahead.” Dr. Nkemjika Amadi, eloquently said “It’s been fruitful 30 years and it will continue to grow and get better, Amen.” Honourable Stanley Felix wrote “Best Beauty Salon in Port Harcourt.” For Ms Ima France she said “De Chic Beauty CEO was a blessing on my wedding day.” A very close associate and friend of the CEO of De Chic Beauty Home Ms Helen baker wrote “Thank god for she has been a good person for the years I have known her. She is a caring person. I remember some years back when she told me how girls are suffering paying for the cost of making their hair and she brought down the prices of services. So, for that I love her. She never wants to see her workers in pain as she cares for her workers.”

Ms Gloria Ejekwu said “We bless God for such a person like this we pray for more grace and for God to give her more understanding.” Ms. Patience Joe Abba said “I am happy for De Chic Beauty Home’s 30th anniversary celebration. I am also one of her girls…When I was with her, she taught me what I am today. I get from her what is putting food on my table, I thank God for De Chic Beauty Home and for me knowing her.” Opara Chibueze in his statement said “De Chic Beauty Home Salon has been so wonderful and been a place to be once beauty is concerned, De Chic Beauty Home Ltd has been there for every fashionista and those that know that looking good is good business.”

De Chic Beauty Home Limited started business in February 1994 after it made its debut in 1991 at Enugwu-Ukwu in Anambra state and her relocation to Port Harcourt Rivers state has brought her most patronage from ladies and high-profile clients across Niger Delta South-South region of Nigeria.

On 1st November 2013 she received an award of Special recognition from Niger Delta Award organizers.

Her parting words for her clients “I really thank them; a lot of people came here to support me. Most of them have been with De Chic  Beauty Home Ltd for almost 30 years and some are from 20 years upwards so, I know that I have big clients, I am so happy that a lot of them came in today actually showed up their faces , and I love then for that as I thank them for being here today and supporting me for this my anniversary, I really thank them so much.”

On the establishment of De Chic Beauty Home Ltd she said “De Chic Beauty Home is a full Options Salon, when we say full options, we mean everything right from cosmetology that is what makes up De Chic Beauty Home Ltd. When we are in every branch of Cosmetology. It’s a full option where you can learn what you want to learn be it facial, hair, nails just name it whatever you want in a salon be it piercing we are all into it. That’s why we call it a one stop Salon. Whatever you are looking for in the salon you will get as long as it is De Chic Beauty Home.”

Concerning how she felt celebrating 30th anniversary and what she does differently that has made De Chic Beauty Home to remain on the lips of Port Harcourt babes and socialites she said” I feel so great. You can see me dancing all through with all my 32 sets of teeth wide open. So, thank you and thank everybody as I feel so happy. They appreciate me because I put more efforts every day in this world you have to learn and relearn as we never learn finish as we keep learning. If you keep learning and be able to innovate if you throw away the old one and get new one …In my Beauty school in New Cullington Maryland USA, they taught us how to handle the old one and add new techniques to whatever we are doing. So, De Beauty Home is number one Salon in Port Harcourt so, we always give ladies the best as before they will think of it De Chic Beauty Home has already produced it.”

About the mammoth crowd that graced the 30th anniversary she said “I know that they will turn out in great numbers and I really appreciate them for coming to support me.”

Coming out with a project of Free Training for 500 less privileged persons she said “I have the pleasure to make sure that less privileged people who cannot afford to pay for training can come to De Chic Beauty Home Ltd and have it done and be satisfied the same way that I am as an entrepreneur. That’s why I said that I am going to train for 500 less privileges.”

One of her trainees, a young lady who is now an entrepreneur, presented a cash award towards the funding of the Free Training of 500 less privileged persons, for CEO of De Chic Beauty Home “I feel so great. I know that I have trained a lot of people…you know since these 30 years anniversary a lot of people that I have trained have gone their own way setting up their own businesses as 30 years is not a joke. I have trained a lot of people that I didn’t collect money from. I am so happy and I was so satisfied that at least one person      could come and say that I trained her for free. That’s the reason I still intend to train a lot of people for free.”
