COALITION OF RIVERS STATE LEADERS OF THOUGHT MOVE FOR SENATOR MAGNUS   ABE’S MINISTERIAL    APPOINTMENT
The race for the nomination of members of the Federal executive Council for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is getting better as a well Revered Socio-Political Group under the aegis of Coalition of Rivers State Leaders of Thought led by cerebral Political maverick High Chief Sunnie Chukumele. The group after its consultative meeting held at Port Harcourt called on President Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider the contributions made by Distinguished Senator Magnus Ngei Abe whose faction of All Progressives Congress APC in Rivers state was at the battle front in campaigning and propagating the Presidential Candidature of His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu when no Rivers State politician except Senator Abe worked for the success of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Rivers state.

In a Communique released at the end of their meeting the Coalition of Rivers State Leaders of Thought titled ‘President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Apply Equity In Choice of minister From Rivers state’ opined ” that we have observed that Distinguished Senator Magnus Abe appears to have been consciously or unconsciously pushed aside or sidelined in the scheme of things with some suspicious political movements at the Presidential Villa. We want to put it on record that it is Sen. Abe who single handedly built the political structure for the promotion of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Presidential ambition in Rivers state. He was castigated and vilified by the majority of Rivers State People who were either supporters of the immediate past Governor of Rivers state, Governor Nyesom Wike of PDP or former Gov. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi of APC.“That we know it as of the truth, that the faction of APC and indeed all those sympathizers who followed Senator Abe into SDP for his gubernatorial ambition and election all voted for President Tinubu.

“That we want to state without equivocation that what is said to be the Presidential result from Rivers state should not have been subject of controversy if the last-minute alleged obstruction by the former Gov. Wike had not occurred.“We have further observed with utter dismay the sudden switch of interest of the former Rivers state Governor in the internal affairs of the APC which he fought against for eight (8) years with his regular face at the Presidential Villa since the assumption of office of President Tinubu. This we are afraid are efforts geared to unduly influence the President must be vigilant to watch the antecedence of such people milling around him.
“That we commend Senator Magnus Abe for voluntarily withdrawing his petition at the election at the Election Tribunal. This we see as a generous gift and gesture to the governor of Rivers State Sir Siminialaye Fubara to settle in to serve the people of the state.“That we bring to the notice of Mr. President of Mr. President, that the Ogoni people being the second largest ethnic group in Rivers state have never enjoyed a full ministerial position in this country since the administration/cabinet of General Yakubu Gowon, where late Dr. GB Leton served as Federal Commissioner several years ago. Mr. President, it may further interest you to know that the Ogoni Ethnic Nationality have never produced Deputy Governor or even Speaker of the State Legislature. Ogoni land and Ogoni people have contributed immensely to Nigeria’s economy. We see it as equitable that Senator Magnus and Ogoni people be compensated, having given up the quest for the governorship of the state.

“We believe that appointing Sen. Abe whose profile is intimidating into President Tinubu’s cabinet will also be a succour to the President’s original believers and followers in Rivers state. If their leader is rewarded, naturally they are affected. These people should not be traded for interest and people we call “Latter Day Saints”. These are turncoats.”The group therefore called on President Tinubu to use this opportunity to reward loyalty as it is biblically said that a worker deserves his wages. As they reminded Mr. President that Senator Abe has majority support of Rivers State people as his inclusion into the incoming Federal Executive Cabinet will add value to the Government of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It is on note that Rivers State APC today has the faction of Senator Abe as the most active faction although his absent during the last few Months prior to his Governorship race hadn’t changed his struggle to have every Rivers state man or woman to be free hence he established “FREEDOM HOUSE” where all aggrieved APC members in Rivers state find refuge in to carry on with their fundamental right of Freedom of association as enshrined in the 1999 Constitution as amended. ——————————–Emeka Amaefula———–+234(0)8111813069
