—SWEARS IN SSG, HoS OTHERS
The Adamawa state Governor His Excellency Umaru Ahmadu Fintiri had on Tuesday 13th of June, 2023 sworn in a new Secretary To- State Government -SSG, Barrister Auwal Tukur alongside other officials. Barrister Auwal Tukur is the son of former elected Governor of Old Gongola State Alhaji Bamanga Tukur a former National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and erstwhile Chairman of Nigerian Ports Authority -NPA. Barrister Auwal Tukur‘s choice came against the abysmal performance of his predecessor in office the immediate past SSG, Ahmed Bashir whose constituency Yola North State did not meet with the aspirations the constituents in terms dividends of democracy deliverance to the people. On same day Governor Fintiri swore in the Head of Civil Service of Adamawa State, Alhaji Shehu Isa Ardo and the Attorney General and Commissioner For Justice, Barrister Afraimu Jingi This came after their list was submitted the 7th legislative Assembly for screening and approval. And the Auditor General of Usman Ahmed. The four appointees were administered with Oath of Office and the governor admonished them to cultivate the habit of looking inward to bring out the best in the service of Adamawa residents as said “I expect you to foster a harmonious and inclusive working environment where ideas are freely shared, and decisions are made in the best interest of our people.
“I encourage you to seek innovative approaches to governance, tapping into the vast potential of Adamawa state and ensuring that every citizen has a voice and a stake in our collective progress”.
The Governor in his speech during the swearing ceremony as he said “Let your actions be guided with compassion and a genuine desire to improve the lives of our people. Work diligently to deliver on our administration’s promises and fulfil the aspirations of Adamawa state”. The amiable Governor of Adamawa state His Excellency Umaru Ahmadu Fintiri is set to develop Adamawa state establishing resources with adequate management of men and materials available to his administration.
