RIVERS STATE FORMER FIRST LADY-DAME JUDITH AMAECHI TURNS 52

The former Rivers state first lady Dame Mrs. Judith Amaechi is your everyday home groomed lady whose marriage since 1993 to former Rivers state Governor and former Minister of Transportation and All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential aspirant, Rt. Honourable Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has seen more than three decades of marital bliss. Born 24th of December in 1970 turns 52 years of age. She is a native of Enugwu-Ukwu in Anambra state. Her academic journey took her to Federal Government Girls’ College-FGGC, Abuloma Port Harcourt Rivers state. Becoming a well-focused young girl who was raised in a god-fearing family she was admitted to Study Urban and Regional Planning at Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Nkpolu Orowurokwo Port Harcourt now Rivers State University Port Harcourt where she graduated from.

This quiet and unassuming gentle lady of honour is a mother of three grown up sons. While she was First Lady of Rivers state, she assisted her husband in establishing Early Education Centres across the 23 Local Government Areas targeted at indigent pupils using her Non-Governmental Organization-NGO, Empowerment Support Initiatives-ESI that took drastic campaign against HIV/AIDS, advocates the right for women inclusion in Governance and children cum gender equality and Girl child Education. Her prayer group Emadon took great attention in turning souls to God at her Woji Road GRA Phase 2 Port Harcourt centre now housing All Progressives Congress-APC Rivers state Headquarters Port Harcourt.

The amiable submissive wife whose role model to many families in Rivers state truly brought harmony to troubled homes while her husband held sway as Governor of Rivers state from 2007 to 2015. Her economic empowerment to Women made most ladies as beneficiaries to ESI- Taxi project thereby putting food on the tables of their various families through hard work. A lot of young girls whose parents couldn’t have been sent to Foreign universities gained State Scholarships.

Her heart of gold of philanthropy and humanitarian services uplifted many people who she never knew their creed or ethnic nationalities but resident in Rivers state. Dame Judith Obiajulu Amaechi has remained a business woman trading on commodities and ornaments with her interest in Cold room seafood storage and other beauty accessories trading while her husband was speaker Rivers State House of Assembly from 1999 to 2007.
