BRITAIN GETS NEW PRIME MINISTER—RISHI SUNAK
The British Government today has Rishi Sunak as Prime Minister, being the third Prime Minister to emerge in two months. He took over from his predecessor Liz Russ after he visited King Charles III early this morning today. The Former Finance Minister Rishi Sunak inherited a dwindling economy with the worst inflation which stands 40-years high in British history.
Addressing British people in front of 10-Downing Street, he agreed to deliver on border control with the support of the armed Forces, and to put public needs above politics and promised not to be daunted in doing so. Mr. Sunak said that he will deliver on manifesto promise of a stronger NHS and his government will accountability and professionalism and will build an economy that makes most Brexit opportunities realized as the Ukraine war must have been seen successfully in his administration.
After the election yesterday in the Parliament he emerged as leader of the Conservative party of Britain the King invited him on Tuesday morning making his government legitimate.
Although he praised Liz Truss for her effort to rise above the current economic hiccups in his country, he admitted that mistakes were made which his administration will correct squarely. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was born in 1980 in the Port City of Southampton. His parents were residents in East Africa Uganda where the Military regime of Idi Amin Dada sent all Asians out of Uganda. His parents relocated to England in the 1960s’
Rishi Sunak attended Winchester College, a private institution where he studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University. He acquired a Master’s degree in Business Administration, MBA. Upon graduation he worked for Goldmach Sachs bank. In 2009, Sunak married a Fashion Designer Akshara Murthy who’s the daughter of N.R Narayana Murthy, Indian billionaire and founder of Infosys.
In 2015 he became a member of Parliament as a Conservative Party member. In 2020 he was appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer while in 2022 he quit the office while Prime Minister Boris Johnson was in office as he cited a difference in the then government’s approach to the management of the economy.
