SENATOR IFEANYI UBA ESCAPES ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT IN ANAMBRA STATE
—-WITH SEVERAL AIDES KILLED
The Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Ifeanyi Uba on Sunday 11th of September narrowly escaped assassination attempt on his life by unknown gun men at Enugwu-Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra state.
From an eye witness account from the scene, it’s reported that the convoy made up of armed Police men and his personal aides were arm-bushed by the assailants which led to sporadic shooting at close range as the Police men responded but six of the police officers were fatally gunned down as other unidentified aides of the Senator who won election under Youth Progressives Party-YPP are among the dead. The Senator was able to escape due to his bullet-proof car actually giving him and his driver the needed cover as the car was riddled with bullets.
