RESCUING NIGERIA 2027: ADC SAYS ENOUGH TO HUNGER, INSECURITY & BAD GOVERNANCE AS DINO MELAYE JOINS DAVID MARK, NATIONAL LEADERS TO UNVEIL NEW PARTY HEADQUARTERS IN ABUJA

The campaign to “rescue Nigeria” ahead of the 2027 general elections gained renewed momentum on Monday as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) unveiled its new National Headquarters in Abuja in what party leaders described as a historic declaration of readiness to end hunger, insecurity, economic collapse, and political embarrassment under the Tinubu-led APC government.

The event, attended by top political figures including former Senate President Senator David Mark and former Kogi West senator and outspoken advocate Senator Dino Melaye, marked a symbolic turning point for the party—one that leaders say signals the birth of a national rescue movement.

A NEW COMMAND CENTER FOR POLITICAL RENEWAL

The ADC National Chairman declared that the new headquarters represents more than brick and mortar—it represents a rebellion against the status quo. “This new headquarters is not just an office—it is the control tower of a mission to rescue Nigeria,” he said. “It is a statement that the time for excuses is over.”

Inside the building, banners read: “Leadership Without Greed” and “People Before Politics.”

According to him, the ADC’s priority is to end hunger not through rice handouts during elections, but by fixing agriculture, empowering farmers, and reopening closed value chains. “In 2027, the choice will not be between APC and PDP,” he insisted. “It will be between survival and collapse. Between nation and chaos. We know where we stand.”

DINO MELAYE’S FIREBRAND DECLARATION

When Senator Dino Melaye stepped up, the atmosphere shifted. His words cut through the hall with the clarity of frustration and conviction: “Nigeria cannot continue to function like a private business with shareholders at the top and suffering citizens at the bottom,” Melaye declared. “This nation deserves a government—not a gang of economic tourists.”

To resounding applause, he continued: “What we have today is not leadership. It is survival by propaganda. Nigerians are tired. The ADC is not just offering promises—we are offering a future.”

Then, in a line that summed up the pains of millions, he said: “Let it be known that hungry people do not need grammar. They need food. They need security. They need justice. That is what we are here to build.”

DAVID MARK: “THE NATION IS BLEEDING—THIS IS NOT ABOUT PARTIES; IT IS ABOUT SURVIVAL”

Former Senate President David Mark, known for choosing words carefully, did not mince any this time. His tone was grave but hopeful.
“This is not about ADC alone. This is about Nigeria. Our nation is bleeding. No party or individual can fix it alone—we must build a front united by patriotism, not greed.”

He warned that when leadership repeatedly fails, people lose hope—and when people lose hope, nations lose their soul.
“Nigeria is too important to be left in the hands of those who do not understand her pain,” he said. “We must rescue this country before its citizens become refugees in their own land.”

WOMEN & YOUTH SPEAK: “WE REFUSE TO SUFFER IN SILENCE”

ADC Women Leader took the microphone and offered a voice to the millions of Nigerian women who bear the cost of national failure every day.
“Mothers are weeping. Children are starving. Our sons are being kidnapped. Our daughters are disappearing,” she said. “A nation that cannot protect its future is already dying. The ADC will not let Nigeria die.”

A youth representative followed with a statement that resonated deeply with young people in the audience: “We are not the leaders of tomorrow—we are the victims of today. But today, that changes. The ADC is where Nigerian youth will stop begging to be included and start leading.”

BEYOND POLITICS: THE 2027 RESCUE BLUEPRINT

The ADC leadership unveiled a core agenda prioritizing:ending hunger by reforming agriculture & production, restoring security through technology & local intelligence, rebuilding Nigeria’s global reputation & diplomacy, introducing merit-based governance.

Empowering youth economically, not rhetorically. Ending patronage and corruption-based politics

The plan, leaders say, is backed by a nationwide grassroots mobilization strategy—not just elite speeches.

A MOVEMENT, NOT JUST A PARTY

What happened in Abuja was not just an opening ceremony but the formalization of a new political coalition—one that unites elder statesmen, reformists, youth, women, civil society leaders, market associations, and diaspora networks.

To close the ceremony, the ADC leadership read a joint declaration:“From hunger to hope. From fear to security. From ridicule to respect. This is the rescue mission. This is the African Democratic Congress. This is the beginning.”
The building was declared open. The pledge was made and a movement was born.
