RIVERS WOMEN UNITE FOR SIM, CHAMPION PEACE, RECONCILIATION & SPIRITUAL REVIVAL IN RIVERS STATE.
With three months gone since the suspension of Rivers state Governor Siminalayi Fubara, a group of Women in Rivers state have been consistent in seeking for genuine reconciliation and peace among Political stakeholders in the state.

The group severally took to the street of Port Harcourt and various Local Government Headquarters calling on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to recall from Suspension Sir Siminalayi Fubara,the peace loving elected executive Governor of Rivers state. They also engaged in prayer and fasting sessions seeking the face of God for peace to return to Rivers state.Just recently Rivers Women, under the aegis of Rivers Women Unite for SIM, RWUS, came together in faith and purpose, seeking for renewed hope, divine strength, and a deeper commitment to God for the healing and progress of Rivers State.

This reporter followed the activities of RWUS members who in their symbolic gestures of unity and well-being, began their gathering with a refreshing physical walkout yhis time around which is targeted to strengthening their bodies as a reflection of their resolve to remain strong, focused, and resilient.

The event progressed into an atmosphere of high praise and thanksgiving to God, as the women lifted their voices in worship, acknowledging the need for divine intervention and restoration in the state.
In a unique approach the women reiterated their consistent call for genuine reconciliation among the people of Rivers State, praying earnestly for healing, peace, and the rekindling of trust and unity across communities in the state.

Speaking at the event one of the speakers said “We engage in physical fitness to care for our bodies,but we are equally committed to building spiritual resilience, knowing that true strength comes from within.”

Other speakers in their prayer points affirmed “We believe in the power of women, the power of prayer, and the healing power of love to restore what is broken. May our land know peace again. May every heart be mended, and may Rivers State continue to rise.”

According to RWUS, “our prayers are already yielding results” as they called on all indigenes and residents of Rivers State to remain hopeful inspite of current challenges. They encouraged everyone not to despair, but to stand firm, united, and focused on building a brighter future.

The Walk Out exercise by
Rivers Women Unite for SIM in fact sent out a peaceful message of unity and togetherness as they reiterated the need for all citizens and residents in Rivers state to continue to champion peace, reconciliation, and spiritual revival, as such collective efforts will foster renewed hope and divine guidance, as the destiny of Rivers State will be fulfilled.

The suspension of Rivers state Governor Fubara is expected to come to an end by September 2025.
