AKWA IBOM STATE FIRST LADY—PATIENCE UMO ENO DIES AT 57

—HER GLORIOUS LIFE STORY UNVEILED

The people of Akwa Ibom state are currently devastated over the death of Mrs. Patience Umo Eno the wife of the executive Governor Pastor Umo Eno. She passed away on Thursday 26th of September,2024 after a brief illness. The Akwa Ibom state Commissioner for Information Comrade Ini Ememobong in a Press Release signed on Friday 27th of September,2024 announced the death of Akwa Ibom state First Lady which states “It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of the wife of the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, following an illness. She passed away peacefully  at the hospital, on 26th September, 2024 in the presence of her family. The family submits to the will of the Almighty and asks for the prayers and support of kind-hearted individuals during this difficult time. Further details will be provided by the family as necessary. In the meantime, the family requests privacy as they mourn their beloved wife, mother and grandmother.”

The Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom also extends his appreciation to all those who stood by the family in the period of the unfortunate demise of his wife. He assured the good people of Akwa Ibom that his commitment to rendering service to his people remain unwavering irrespective of the huge loss.

Until her death, First Lady Mrs. Patience Umo Eno while celebrating her 57th birthday revealed that “Aside from being a governor’s wife, I am a seamstress, you call it fashion Designer now.  My father gave me my sewing machine when I got married 3 years ago; and it is still in my workshop.” In her lifetime, she launched her Pet project known as Golden Initiative For all-GIFA which she used in reaching out to the vulnerable people. Her over 35 years Christian marriage was described by many to have been a very memorable one as she bonded well with her husband Pastor Umo Eno who described their convivial relationship thus “I want to say that I am proud of your dedication and compassion. Your strive to make a difference shines through in every aspect of GIFA, and I am confident  that this programme will leave a lasting impact on countless lives. You have been true to your name, you have been an incredible wife and mother and I am sure all of us and our children are really proud of you.

“ On this day we celebrate your 57th birthday and the launch of your pet project, I can assure you by the love of God that I will walk side by side with you, support you and do whatever I can to ensure that you fulfil this lifelong ambition of touching lives.”

Her life can be summed up with Psalm 128 :3 “Thy wife shall be a fruitful vine by the side of thy house; thy children like  Olive plants around thy table.”
