RENEWED HOPE GROUP IN RIVERS STATE ENGAGED IN ONE MILLION MAN MATCH FOR PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU
CALL ON FCT MINISTER NYESOM WIKE TO JOIN APC FOR 2027 ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU’S VICTORY
The All Progressives Congress in Rivers state under the leadership of Honourable Chief Tony Okocha Chairman of Caretaker Committee of APC in Rivers state and Rivers state Representative Rivers state in the Management Board of Niger Delta Development Commission on Thursday 23rd of May, 2024 called on the Minister of FCT Abuja to join the All Progressives Congress APC ahead of the 2027 Presidential elections so as to help President Bola Ahmed Tinubu win the Presidential election. He also eulogized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the various political appointments extended to Nyesom Wike and other Rivers state sons as he described Wike as the Leader of the Renewed Hope political pressure group in Rivers state who was responsible for the victory of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 Presidential election in Rivers state. Chief Tony Okocha who adorned 002 inscribed on the back of his shirt said it indicates that 001 number belongs to Nyesom Wike while he is the number two in the hierarchy of leadership structure of the Renewed Hope in Rivers state. More than one Million members of the Renewed Hope group in Rivers state matched through Aba Port Harcourt Expressway in Port Harcourt in support of the successful leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he marks one year in office. The rally that took place from GRA junction to State Secretariat involved leadership of Renewed Hope in the 23 Local Government Areas and in the 319 electoral wards with the leadership of the Non-Indigenous group of Renewed Hope in Rivers state all present in the rally. “Why is His Excellency Nyesom Wike’s picture in our banner, I will answer it succinctly as this is not purely an APC event but a gathering of Renewed Hope in Rivers state. The other reason is that this man called Ezebunwo Wike is a game Changer and you people will remember that we have been wooing him to come over to Macedonia to help us as this again one of those attempts to woo him over to APC and help us so that we continue to win election for Mr President particularly when election comes in 2027.”
Chief Okocha explained that the then leadership of All Progressives Congress-APC in Rivers state did not campaign for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 Presidential election as they made caricature of Asiwaju as having health challenges like someone who was senile and medically unfit defecating in his loins which they did using Social media tools. The removal of fuel subsidy he said has helped Local, state and Federal Governments from sharing humongous amount of money in billions of naira as allocations that Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway worth over N15trillion Naira is now awarded for construction which he described as a benefit from the removal of Fuel Subsidy by the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. “ I put it to you that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the best thing that happened to Nigeria.”
He took a swap on the activities of incumbent Governor of Rivers state who he accused of introducing Upland -Riverine ethnic political division in Rivers state. He therefore cautioned Governor of Rivers state not to be chasing Speaker Martins Amaewhule and other 26 lawmakers but to allow the cases in Courts which he sponsored to decide the fate of the lawmakers as he APC leader in Rivers state stand by the 27 Lawmakers who defected to APC recently as his leadership and his political party never recognize the 3-Member constituted House of Assembly in Rivers state.
