EASTERN NAVAL COMMAND HEADQUARTERS HONOURS ADJUNCT STAFF MISS BLESSING ONYEACHI OGBU FOR DILIGENCE, HARDWORK AND NEATNESS
The Nigerian Navy, Eastern Command based at Calabar Cross River State on Saturday 13th of April 2024 honoured Miss Blessing Onyeachi Ogbu an adjunct staff in Computer journalism, Naval Information Office Information/Journalism Department The officer in charge of Naval Information Office D. Duyile of Eastern Naval command Headquarters Calabar, Cross River in the Recommendation Award ceremony which took place in Senior Officers’ Mess extolled the good quality of Miss Blessing who he described as having exhibited quality character in service delivery involving the Press Unit and with her contributions in making the job of media relations easier than she met it in 2017/2018 when she was first posted for her NYSC Primary Assignment in the Eastern Naval Command as a member of National Youth Service Corps scheme NYSC. Since she has been retained based on her dedication to duty and exemplary conduct. Thus, she has been able to elevate herself in being of good character, with good human and interpersonal relation and quality communication skills which has distinguished her from others.
Miss Blessing Onyeachi Ogbu studied Mass Communication graduate level at Benue State University as she has been very vocal in the Journalism profession so much so that the staff and entire Eastern Naval Command noticed her contributions as direct beneficiaries of her services which they have derived benefits from her journalism practice which has uplifted the good image of the Command. She is looking forward to having recommendations for optimal services in the future with the Nigerian Ministry of Defense where her services would be of benefit to the entire country and humanity.
In her citation before the award of exemplary services, she was noted to have been diligent, punctual and thorough in her job delivery. Thus, her ability to dress well and comport herself with much dignity attracted the attention of her superior in the Eastern naval command, Calabar, Cross River state. It was on that note that the Senior Officers’ Mess room was filled to its capacity as friends and well-wishers including Naval personnel staff Laura Rebecca Oshiedu who also works directly with Miss Blessing in the Press Unit of the command all came out to witness the service recognition of Miss Blessing. She was the only individual so recognized in the ceremony which lasted for some hours with senior officers being part of the ceremony. It was well celebrated even outside the Eastern naval command Calabar including far away NSS PATHFINDER RUMUOLUMENI, Port Harcourt, Rivers state and across the country where she has relations and other extended family members who watched it via social media.
