FORMER CHAIRMAN OF IWUAYANWU NATIONALE FOOTBALL CLUB CHIEF IGNATIUS OKEAHIALAM DIES AT 72

SET FOR BURIAL ON SATURDAY, 6TH APRIL 2024

The Chairman of former Iwuanyanwu Nationale Football later renamed Heartland FC OwerriChief Ignatius Ekenna Okeahialam(LAMBIC) is dead, he died at the age of 72 years after a protracted battle with illness. The Naze Millionaires Football Fraternity currently is in a mourning mood as Chief Okeahialam will be buried on Saturday April 6th 2024.

Before his death he was Founder and Managing Director of Lambic Technical and General Service, Worldwide; a Fellow of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri, FFPNO; a member of the Board of Trustees of Ezinihitte Development Association and Chairman of Heartland FC, Owerri, and Proprietor of Executive Garden Hotels, Owerri. There has been a high level burial arrangement set up by the family and various organizations that he belonged to as late Chief Ignatius Ekenna  Okeahialam will be highly missed by the football loving community across Nigeria and internationally where he made a serious impact during his lifetime. The Ezinihitte Mbaise born Sports enthusiast and Chieftain was a successful business tycoon. According to his family, he died in the last quarter of 2023. His eldest son, Hon. Johnbosco Ekezie Okeahialam who has issued obsequies on behalf of the family along with Dr. Anayo C Uhiàra who is the Chairman of the burial planning committee, have slated programmes of activities which include the service of songs for one of the most successful Chairmen of Heartland FC on April 5th, 2024 at Holy Ghost Parish, Omega town in Ezinihite Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo state which takes place by 6pm.

According to announcement by the Burial Planning Committee Interment has been fixed on Saturday, April 6th, 2024, after Christian funeral sermon at Holy Ghost Parish, Omega town by 11am as burial proper will take place at his compound in Umuocham Amaudi Obizi in Ezinihitte Mbaise in Imo state. The successful businessman, Sports guru and top philanthropist, late Chief Ignatius Ekenna Okeahialam (Ihe Mba Mbaise) is survived by his Wife, Children and Grandchildren one of his son in laws High Chief Fidel Enyinna is currently putting finishing touches to give his father-in law and business partner a befitting burial come 6th of April, 2024.
