REAL REASONS WHY FCT ABUJA MINISTER NYESOM WIKE TURNS A CHEF
It is no longer news that the FCT Abuja Minister Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike is now a popular Cook for himself and his regular guests. This reporter at Port Harcourt is presenting to you the genesis of Minister Wike’s morbid fear of being poisoned for a second time led him to turning his own personal Cook irrespective of the fact that he has official Chef being paid by the government that he serves.
In 2018 while he was getting ready for the battle of all battles to return for a second term in office, his political opponents All PROGRESSIVES Congress APC then Minister of Transportation Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi had his own choice of Governorship candidate Pastor Tonye Dele Cole…the plethora of legal battles in APC Rivers state created factions and Wike benefited from it as Supreme Court of Nigeria affirmed the decision of the lower courts in the Consent judgment that barred APC from sponsoring candidates in the 2019 Governorship election, State House of Assembly, Federal House of Representatives and the three senatorial seats of National Assembly.
But for Wike he alleged haven been poisoned prior to the 2019 general elections as he was telling his guests during Thanksgiving at his Rumuepirikom village Saint Peter’s Anglican church in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers in January 2023. He narrated how he went to Beirut City in Lebanon for major body organs surgery of which his doctors told him shocking things pertaining to the level of damage to his major body organs from kidney to his liver. But he survived it all. He also told the congregants how at the peak of his reelection campaign his wife called him and informed him about her cancer stage 2. That in all these he continued with the restoration of his health and that of his wife. Suddenly his wife’s bedroom at his village country home also caught fire.
So, since 2018 that Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike survived the alleged poisoning episode he has been cooking for himself and his guests. This has been his current life style which most of his political followers have also adopted by jettisoning food cooked by their official Chef and that done by their wives to self cooked food.
On several occasions Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike had entertained his guests taking them to his ravishingly furnished kitchen where he displayed his cooking prowess… with his guests witnessing his dexterity in cooking several menu. From Rt. Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki and litany of guests Wike had dragged all of them to his Abuja resident Kitchen. They all enjoyed his cookery skills and the contents as on the spot they were served by Wike the master chef public servant of Federal Capital Territory FCT Abuja.
