PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU BECOMES MINISTER OF PETROLEUM, ASSIGNS PORTFOLIO

The President of Federal Republic of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu has taken over Ministry of Petroleum Resources as the Minister while the office of Minister of State has been assigned to Senator Heineken Lokpobiri who is Minister of state, in a Press release on Wednesday 16th of August, 2023 signed by Willie Bassey, Director of information office of Secretary To the Government of the Federation stated that about forty-five Ministers have been assigned portfolios. The Ministers list include Dr. Hanatu Musawa as Minister of Art, Culture and The Creative Economy; Mohammed Badaru as Minister of defense; Bello Mutawale as Minister of state Ministry of defense; Tahir Maman as Minister of Education; Yusuf T, Sununu as Minister of state Ministry of Education; Ahmed M. Dangiwa as Minister of Housing and Urban Planning while Abdullahi T. Gwarzo assigned Minister of state for Housing and Urban Planning; Atiku Bagudu as Minister of Budget and Economic Planning; Ishak Salako as Minister of State for Budget and economic Planning; Nyesom Wike as Minister of Federal Capital Territory; Mairiga Mahmud is the Minister of state Federal Capital Territory; Professor Joseph  Utsev as Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation; Bello M. Goronyo as Minister of state for Water and Sanitation; Abubakar Kyari as Minister of Agriculture and Food Security;  Aliyu sabi Abdullahi as Minister of state Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.

Others are Saidu A. Alkali as Minister of Interior; Yusuf M. Tugga as Minister of Foreign Affairs; Professor Ali Pate takes over as Minister of Health and Social Welfare; Tunji Alausa is the Minister of state for Health and Social welfare; Ibrahim Geidam is the Minister of Police Affairs; Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim in Minister of State for Police Affairs; Shuaibu A. Audu is Minister of Steel Development while U. Maigari Ahmadu is the Minister of State for Steel Development;  Muhammed Idris is the Minister of Information and National Orientation as Minister of Justice is Lateef Fagbemi; Simeon B. Lalong is the Minister of Labour and Employment with Nkeiruka Onyejiocha is the Minister of State for Ministry of Labour and Employment; Zephaniah Jisalo is the Minister of Special duties and Intergovernmental Affairs; Bosun Tijani is the Minister of Communications, Innovations and Digital Economy; Wale Edun is the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy; Bunmi Tunji-Ojo is the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy; Adebayo Adelabu is the Minister of Power; Dele Alake is the Minister of solid Minerals Development.

Lola Ade-John is the Minister of Tourism; Adegboyega Oyetola is the Minister of Transportation while Uche Nnaji is the Minister of innovation, Science and Technology. David Umahi is the Minister of Works; Festus Keyamo is the Minister for Aviation and Aerospace Development; Abubakar Momoh is the Minister of Youth; Betta Edu is the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation; Ekperipe Ekpo is the Minister of State of Gas Resources as Heineken Lokpobiri is the Minister of State of Ministry of Petroleum Resources; John Enoh is the Minister of Sports Development and Uju Kennedy is the Minister of Women Affairs.

The swearing In ceremony has been fixed to take place at State House Conference Center Aso Rock Villa, Abuja on Monday 21st of August, 2023 by 10.00am. By implication Minister of Petroleum Resources and Minister of Gas Resources are not yet having a Minister designate which invariably may be held by the incumbent President as his predecessor President Muhammadu Buhari was Minister of Petroleum Resources.
