NIGERIA CENTRAL BANK GOVERNOR GODWIN EMEFELE REMOVED, HANDS OVER TO DEPUTY GOVERNOR CBN OPERATIONS
The Governor Central Bank of Nigeria Godwin Emefele has been removed in a shakeup that was directed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday 9th of June, 2023. The CBN henchman was directed through the office of the Secretary To the Government of the Federation SGF, through a communication issued by Director of Information that he should hand over to the next Deputy Governor Operations in CBN, Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi who has been in Operations Directorate to be Acting Central Bank of Nigeria Governor pending the outcome of ongoing investigation and effort of the present administration to rejig the Nigerian economy.
Before now the embattled CBN Governor had been having consultation with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu whose newly sworn in administration has taken key decision in turning the economy around for a better standard of living for the citizens.
