BARRISTER JOHN SUNNY-UNACHUKWU PDP IKEDURU, IMO STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY CANDIDATE GETS NYSC EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE

The award of certificate of exemption to graduates above the stipulated age of 30 for mobilization and participation in the mandatory one-year National Youth Service Corps Scheme-NYSC was issued to Barrister John Sunny-Unachukwu on the 29th of November 2022 at Abuja the Headquarters of National Youth Service Scheme. The elated University of South Africa, Jonesburg trained law graduate who also got his Barrister -At Law B.L Certificate from the prestigious South African Law Society Legal Education and Development-LEAD institute. The elegant, smart and intelligent legal practitioner in South Africa, Barrister John Sunny-Unachukwu is currently running for Ikeduru , Imo State House of Assembly election which comes up on 11th of March 2023 under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party-PDP.

His highly contested victory in the Ikeduru seat PDP primary election marked barrister Sunny-Unachukwu out as a man with much political swag and garnering more experience in his quest to serve his people of Ikeduru.

This Iho-Dimeze town Ikeduru Local Government Area born Philanthropist Barrister John Sunny Unachukwu who is the founder of Okwadike Foundation has instituted several humanitarian projects that have elevated the living standard of many people especially the downtrodden, Youths, women and the vulnerable in the society especially in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo state. His town Iho-Dimeze is the cradle of Crude Oil exploration and exploitation in Nigeria as the then Shell Darcy Petroleum now Shell Petroleum Development company in 1951 dug the first crude oil well in Iho-Dimeze about 8-miles from Owerri, the state capital.

If he succeeds in the 11th March, 2023 Ikeduru, Imo state House of Assembly election he will be replacing the incumbent member Honourable Uche Ogbuagu who also took after Dr. Uche Thaddeus Oguwike the Ochicha community Ngugo town born former Leader Imo State House of Assembly under the platform of All Progressives Congress-APC.

The PDP Ikeduru constituency candidate for Imo State House of Assembly is looking forward to bring development through legislation to his good people of Ikeduru a constituency that has produced the likes of National Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party-PDP Senator Samuel Anyanwu popularly called Sam Daddy whose political trajectory took him from being elected as Chairman of Ikeduru LGA, member Ikeduru Constituency Imo state House of assembly, elected Senator representing Imo East senatorial District and an Aspirant for Imo State Governorship Primary election for Peoples Democratic Party against His Excellency Rt. Honourable Emeka Ihedioha in 2018 leading to the 2019 Governorship election in Imo State.

The political manifesto of Barrister John-Sunny Unachukwu were espoused in a recent interview he granted to journalists in Owerri, Imo State capital where he said “my outing at Imo State House of Assembly from 2023 when elected will have a lot to do critical motions, Bills, interventions, and mega constituency development projects that will have bearing with the yearning and aspirations of Ndi Ikeduru.

“I will not end this statement without assuring all and sundry that my academic certificates will also be made public for people to see and possibly verify. I accordingly therefore call all candidates running for election and my accusers too to make their own credentials and that of those they are supporting public just like I am doing now” he queried his challengers.

It is openly known that late Chief Sunny Unachukwu, the father of Barrister John Sunny-Unachukwu was a renowned journalist who worked as Bureau chief for Herald Newspapers Ilorin, kwara State was elected as State Chairman of Old Imo state Chapter of Nigerian Union of Journalists NUJ, during the administration of late Barrister Samuel Onunaka Mbakwe the then Governor of Old Imo state.
