UK PRIME MINISTER LIZ TRUSS STEPS DOWN AFTER 7-SEVEN WEEKS IN OFFICE

The British Prime Minister Liz Truss has stepped down after 7-weeks in office and as leader of the Conservatives. Her troubled days in office had been characterized by loss of confidence in the financial market which saw billions of Pounds crashing in the economy of Britain while she presided over the affairs of the United Kingdom. On September 23rd, 2022 Liz Truss had to sack Chancellor kwasi Kwarteng over the Mini-Budget which introduced billions of unfunded Tax cuts.

Although she will remain in office for another week pending her replacement. There has been resentment by the British populace over Liz Truss’ administration which has come to be described as one of the shortest in the history of the U.K.
