CAPTAIN IBRAHIM TRAORE LEADS BURKINA FASO NEW MILITARY TAKE OVER
The West African Sahel country Burkina Faso in the early hours of 1st October, 2022 staged a successful military coup d ’etat led by young Army officer Captain Ibrahim Traore whose group removed the 8-months old Military administration of Paul Henri Damiba . It was gathered that the new leadership were part of the ousted military junta of Paul Henri Damiba that took part in the January 2022 coup d’état. Captain Traore while announcing the military take gave reasons for the change of baton especially the inability of Paul Henri Damiba not eradicating the insurgent’s activities in Burkina Faso.
The Islamic terrorists operating in the Maghreb region of Sub Sahel has been moving freely in the West African territories with major killings and blood bath of citizens across the West African zones with damaging economic losses.
