Dr. Sam Sam Jaja Resigns from APC, Joins PDP In Rivers State
The gale of mass resignation in Rivers state chapter of All Progressives Congress APC has reached all time high as one of the Board of Trustees members and Leader of APC in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area ,Dr. Sam Sam Jaja had resigned his membership of the party.
Before his resignation in the last week of July, 2022 he was Chairman of the Reconciliation Committee in Rivers state. And he was said to have persuaded one of the aggrieved Governorship aspirants Ojukaye Flag Amachree not to leave APC.
Again, it was Dr. Sam Sam Jaja who among 19 Council of Elders of APC selected Architect Tonye Dele Cole as the consensus Governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress before he went in state Delegates congress Governorship primary election as he won in Rivers State for the 2023 General elections. He was a former Chairman of Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission – RvSiec.
The Governorship candidate of PDP in Rivers state Siminialaye Fubara is a native of Opobo Nkoro Local Government Area and it may not be out of reasons that Dr. Sam Sam Jaja ‘s resignation from APC may not be unconnected to helping PDP win the Rivers state Governorship election in Rivers state come March,2023.
