BOMA BANJO LAUNCHES FOUNDATION, BOOK “AND CANCER CAME CALLING -A MEMOIR OF A STAGE 2 BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR”
Call her a quintessential amazon, a resilient entrepreneur and a socialite God fearing lady of immense tenacious being Boma Banjo is Chief executive Officer of Garnet Bistro an upwardly mobile Fashionista and investment guru in the hospitality industry based at Port Harcourt Rivers state. The granddaughter of Chief (Mrs.) ada Obi Whyte the Ndoni born Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Octogenarian who is Book publisher, author and social critic.
Boma Banjo the University of Port Harcourt Psychology graduate about 3 years ago suffered from stage 2 Breast cancer which took her searching for a solution of keeping alive her indomitable spirit of a survivor and God gave her a second chance as she came out from the various stages of treatment including surgery and chemotherapy sessions. She tells her story in her newly written book entitled “And Cancer came calling—A memoir of a stage 2 Breast Cancer Survivor.”
It is a must have possession by every living being as regular presentation of oneself for screening of any ailment is a sure way of rescuing oneself from imminent death and she was saved by this approach at HOUSE ON THE ROCK Church Medical outreach screening exercise at Port Harcourt where she went for Breast Cancer awareness programme and she began the journey of seeking for remedy to such an abnormal situation and today after 3-years she is giving testimony to her experiences as she invites friends and family members to a Church Thanksgiving service on Sunday 7th of August, 2022 at House on the Rock located at Sani Abacha Road GRA Phase 3 Port Harcourt.
After the 10am church service her strictly invited guests will by 1pm all converge at CAMP DAVID EVENT CENTER, 18 LOCATION ROAD, OFF TOMBIA EXTENSION GRA Phase 3 by De Edge Hotel port Harcourt Rivers state Nigeria for book launch and entertainment proper. In her own words she wrote in her I.V “Join Me as I thank God for pulling me through the claws of Cancer.“
The unveiling of her charity/foundation known as “THE BOMA CANCER FOUNDATION” will take centre stage in the Thanksgiving cum unveiling of her humanitarian outfit.
