SENATOR ADEMOLA ADELEKE WINS OSUN STATE GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION. The people of Osun State on Saturday 16thbof July,2022 filed out to elect Distinguished Senator Ademola Adeleke who won in 17- Local Government Areas out of 30- LGAs with 402,979 votes as against the incumbent Governor Gbeyega Oyetola who pulled a to total votes of 37, 5,077. The Independent National Electoral Commission -INEC early on Sunday morning 17th of July 2022 announced the results of the election where the returning Officer declared the official result. The winner Senator Ademola Adeleke won in the following LGAs, Ede South; Osogbo; Do Otin; Oroluñ; Ifelodun; Atakumosa; and Ila which happened to be the hometown of All Progressives Congress APC Chief Bisi Akande. The incumbent Governor Gbeyega Oyetola won in 13- Local Government Areas comprising of Iwo; Ayadaase; Idea South; and Ife East LGA.
The outcome of the Osun State Governorship election took place in 3,763 Polliny precinct in the 30- LGAs with 332 registration areas.
