2023 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION: CHIBUIKE ROTIMI AMAECHI DECLARES
The All Progressives Congress-APC Presidential aspirants list got a new entrant on Saturday 9th of April,2022 at Adokie Amesiemaka as the serving Minister of Transportation Rt. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi answered the call to contest in the 2023 Presidential election under the platform of All Progressives Congress-APC.
He made the declaration at the Thanksgiving service and Prayer for the Nation organized by Rivers State chapter of APC for having successfully returned back to normal operation after a protracted legal infraction that stopped the party from participating in the 2019 elections in Rivers state for Rivers state House of Assembly, Federal House of Representatives, Senate and Governorship positions.
For 2023 Presidential aspiration
Exactly by 12:34pm the serving Minister of Transportation jocularly took to the Athletic track in a 400-meters race followed by his teeming supporters who made the electrified stadium with 60,000 seater capacity to be erupted with euphoria and ecstasy…Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi grabbed the opportunity of his life to give his vote of thanks with the open declaration in his address titled “FORWARD WITH COURAGE” said “I stand to declare my interest to serve you as your next President.” At this moment the crowded 60,000 capacity stadium went agog with jubilation and pomp and pageantry.
He outlined his growth as a poor street child who grew up overcoming poverty with hard work especially where he had to thug on with the challenges of paying for his university education and rising up to be elected Students Union Government President at University of Port Harcourt, Rivers state. He narrated his exploits in his political life having been elected twice as member Rivers State House of Assembly, twice as Speaker Rivers state House Assembly, twice as Chairman of Governor’ Forum, Twice and appointed twice as Director General, Muhammadu Buhari Presidential Campaign Organization, appointed twice as Minister of Federal republic of Nigeria and twice as Minister for Transportation.
He admitted that he had 23-years in political life as an appointed officer to an elected political office holder. The Ubima born politician in reminiscence told his teeming audience his political tutelage journey from 80-years old former Rivers state Governor Rufus Ada George, to Dr. Peter Odili and wife Justice Mary Odili who offered him the platform to be where he is today.
Rt. Honourable Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi promised to visit all the nooks and cranny of Nigeria with the message of “Hope Is Around The Corner” as he pledged to alleviate the suffering of the masses especially that as a sitting governor he tackled Militancy out from Rivers state under his watch as a sitting governor.
