ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS—APC RIVERS STATE CHAIRMAN EMEKA BEKEE INAUGUARTED
–ASSUMES OFFICE IN GRAND STYLE
On Thursday 3rd of February, 2022 the All Progressives Congress APC National Acting Chairman and Governor of Yobe State Mai Mala Buni inaugurated 34 State Chairmen in Nigeria except that of Kano and Zamfara State. The ceremony took place at the party’s National Secretariat Abuja. In attendance among those officially recognized and inaugurated included Rivers state Chairman Chief Emeka Bekee. On Tuesday the 8th of February 2022, he officially took over the Rivers state APC Secretariat located at no. 120 Woji Road GRA Phase 2, Port Harcourt.
He arrived at his office by 9:15am and departed by 4:45pm after attending to official matters and playing host to group of Party men and women who came to welcome him into his new office in Port Harcourt. Among the staunch APC Rivers state members that visited Emeka Bekee in office include former Rivers state Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Honourable Ezemonye Ezekiel who served during the administration of former Governor of Rivers state Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. Others who also came include Ambassador Kelvin Ekelechukwu Umejuru and Charles Chibuzor Nweke with party stakeholders in attendance.
Seen at the APC Rivers state secretariat was Secretary of Rivers state chapter a former member of Rivers state House of Assembly, Honourable Sam Sam Etetegwung who assigned offices to officials of the party as State Working Committee members. The State Women Leader, Mrs. Beatrice Amobi Dappa a member of the state Executive Committee with other women including Ms. Nancy Stephen Ijalopu were present at the Secretariat receiving other women who came to have a glance of the newly inaugurated Chairman Chief Emeka Bekee as he assumed office.
The All Progressives Congress -APC has been factionalized with former Senator Magnus Ngei Abe leading those APC members who use Freedom House as their Secretariat while the leader of APC in Rivers state and current Minister of Transportation Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi leads the National recognized group of APC with chief Emeka Bekee as state Chairman.
