ENUGU STATE LGC ELECTION: WALTER OZIOKO EMERGES PDP NSUKKA LGA CHAIRMANSHIP CANDIDATE
The coming Enugu State Council election slated to take place on 23rd of February, 2022 has gathered much crescendo as the incumbent Deputy Mayor of Nsukka Local government Council, Honourable Barrister Walter Ozioko is now poised to take over from his principal Barrister Cosmas Ugwueze the executive Chairman of Nsukka Local government Area of Enugu state. The unveiling and fundraising event that took place on Saturday 5th February 2022 witnessed the gathering of who’s who in Nsukka Local Government Area politics and its environs as it had the presence of Hon. Amadi Amos Agbo, Special Assistant to the executive Governor of Enugu State Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who emerged as the Director General of the Campaign Organization. Given his unique leadership quality as the Speaker of Enugu State Youth Parliament, Hon. Amos Agbo is expected to engage the youths of Nsukka Local Government Area to participate actively in electing Honourable Walter Ozioko on 23rd of February, 2022.
The fundraising segment of the event witnessed the financial support of the incumbent Chairman of the LGA as Utonwa Michael Ezeaku, a former Chairmanship aspirant of the LGA donated a Mini-bus to the Campaign team. Others present made donations to the Campaign organization with the following politicians and well-wishers in attendance Honourable Chief Vita Abba, the former State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Enugu state, Hon. Barrister Peter Okonkwo Commissioner for Local Government Enugu state; Hon. Prof. Uchenna Eze; Commissioner for Education Enugu state; Hon. Obiora Ugwoke Treasurer PDP Enugu State; Hon. (Mrs.) Vivian Eze Former SSA on Due Process; Rt. Hon. Chinedu Nwamba; Hon. Dr. Emma Ugwuerua members Representing Nsukka East and Nsukka West State Constituencies of Enugu state House of Assembly. Others present include Hon. Gerald Ezeagbo PDP’s State Ex-Officio; Hon. Barr. Forster Aniebonam Ugwoke, Executive Secretary, Enugu state Privatization and Commercialization Commission; Hon. Celestine Ogbu, SSA to Governor Ugwuanyi; Hon. Cosmas Agbo; Hon. Face Onuogwu; Hon. Prince Ehizonoga; Hon. Emma Uguja; Hon. Chisaa Onah, SAs to His Excellency Gov. Ugwuanyi. The occasion had the glorious attendance League of Former LGA Chairmen Supervisors of Nsukka LGA; Incoming and serving Councilors; Party Executives and Ward Chairmen all made the political gathering for the inaugural meeting for Honourable Barr. Walter Ozioko’s Local government Council election in Nsukka LGA of Enugu state come 23rd February 2022.
