AIR VICE MARSHALL I.O DARAMOLA ASSUMES DUTY AS AIR OFFICER COMMANDING, GROUND TRAINING COMMAND ENUGU
The newly appointed Air Officer Commanding, Ground Training Command Enugu, Air Vice Marshall I.O Daramola on Tuesday 8th of February, 2022 assumed duty at Enugu as he paid courtesy visit to the Governor of Enugu state His Excellency, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi at Government House Enugu. Air Vice Marshall Daramola also conveyed a message from Chief of Air staff Air Marshall Isiaka Oladayo Amao as he commended Gov. Ugwuanyi for his administration’s support to the Nigerian Air Force and other Military formations and other units domiciled in Enugu state.
In accordance to the routine Air Vice Marshall Daramola was at Enugu state Government House to formally inform the Enugu state Governor about his assumption of office as the Air Officer Commanding, Ground Training Command, Enugu as he stated the commitment of Nigerian Air Force to the security and development of Enugu state. He reaffirmed the supportive role of the government of Enugu state concerning internal security in the state and beyond “for the support that that you continue to provide to the military in general, the Nigerian Army, Police and to us the Nigerian Airforce, it is this support that has ensured that Enugu has remained the most peaceful in the South east geo-political zone.”
Stating further he said “That the goes with the fact that the numerous legacy infrastructural projects you have put in place, especially the roads within Enugu and in the rural areas are part of those things that ensured the state remained secure.”
The elated Enugu state Governor Ugwuanyi in his welcome speech stated that his administration’s partnership with Nigerian Air Force has been that of mutual benefit as the Air force has played major roles in providing security in the security architecture of Enugu state. He therefore pledged for continued collaboration with the Nigerian Air Force as well as other security agencies to effectively continue to discharge their duties professionally. The occasion witnessed a presentation of Souvenir by the ENUGU state governor Ugwuanyi to the new Air Vice Marshall I.O Daramola Officer Commanding, Ground Training Command Enugu.
