SENATOR IFEANYI UBA PASSES ON, IN LONDON 

The Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial zone Chief Ifeanyi Patrick UBA had joined his ancestors. He died in a London hospital after a brief illness. It was reported that he had been having treatment over an undisclosed illness which he traveled to London two days ago only to be confirmed dead.

Senator Ifeanyi UBA was the founder of Capital Oil which he founded in 2001. His interest in public service came to the fore when in 2019 he contested for the Anambra South Senatorial district seat of Anambra State under Young Progressive Party YPP snd he overwhelmingly won. In 2023 General elections he also re-con tested and won. It was in the early no ths of 2024 that he defected to all progressive Congress APC where he had wanted to contest for Anambra State Governorship election. 

In September 2022 he survived an assassin’s attempt to kill him on his way back from Enugwu Ukwu and heading to Nnewi but he lost five persons including two police officers in his motorcade while riding in his drcurd armoured car. Un his lifetime, Senator Ifeanyi UBA was married with five children . Recently in a bid for him to win the heart of his Supporters for the Governorship primary election of of the All Progressive Congress APC in Anambra State Chapter, his team donated the sum of N70m of which N50m was said to have been donated by Senator Ifeanyi UBA to Anambra State Chapter of APC.
