RIVERS STATE 2023 GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION: WIKE FIGHTS TO HAVE SIMINIALAYE FUBARA ELECTED

“If anybody fights our system we shall fight the person back. Let me tell you what you don’t understand in politics, the moment you claim to be working with us and tomorrow you shift to our enemies , we will take every might we have …we will even leave our enemy and finish you first. So, all of you who are going back to Abuja to hold a meeting with our enemies in this state. I am going to finish you last.

You can’t come here , come from the state, be a contractor, get money, then you move to Abuja and hold a meeting against us, I say I will not leave you free. I am not a Born Again to this level . Yes, I am a Christian but I am not a Born Again to this level.

Anyone who cares to listen, whether you are in PDP, APC, you are in SDP, you’re in Accord or any other party. If I catch you trying to breach the security in this state, you’ll go in for it. I will not allow anybody to destabilize this state. We have suffered insecurity and God has helped us together with security agencies to maintain peace. For me, whether it is true or not, I must make sure that I take action”

For clarity, since Rivers state Governor Wike lost in his bid to become the Presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and lost his becoming Running Mate to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, he began planning on how to control the political party structure that will ensure the emergence of his preferred Governorship candidate Siminialaye Fubara on the 11th March, 2023 Governorship election in Rivers state.

First he began eavesdropping on the activities of his inner associates and their activities especially those who will ally with PDP Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar. It was this plan that brought about his broadcast warning hotel and entertainment facility owners not to release their properties to any cultist or group of people who are enemies of the state. If anyone gives out his facility to such people, the Government will demolish such a structure.

Among the list of PDP dissidents who Governor Wike has empowered economically through the Award of Contracts include Sir, Chief Celestine Omehia a former Governor of Rivers state from May 29th to October 25th 2007. Sir Chief Austin Opara a former Deputy Speaker Federal House of Representatives Abuja, Former Senator representing Rivers South east Senator Lee Meaba, Former Minister of Transportation and former Secretary To-Rivers state Government-SSG, DR. Abiye Precious Sekibo, Honourable Jones Ogbonda a former member Rivers state House of Assembly, Honourable Ikechi Chinda former PDP Chairman of Port Harcourt City  Local Government Area and Honourable  Chinyere Igwe representing Port Harcourt Federal Constituency II, former Federal House of Representatives had his TOOLS Petrol Filling station which situated at Mile 2 area of Port Harcourt City sealed and allegation of dealing with illegal Petroleum product has been levelled against him as Rivers state Government under the watch of Governor Wike.

All of the Atiku Abubakar supporters from Rivers state are no longer residing at Rivers state as they are political refugees who have relocated to Abuja for safety.

The purpose of the haunting of the political dissidents may not be unconnected with the fact that Siminialaye Fubara as PDP Governorship candidate must be returned as his Successor come 11th of March, 2023.

Governor Wike’s Political strategy for Rivers state 2023 Governorship election as at this present political dispensation has been to drag all the strong Governorship candidates to Court challenging the Delegates election processes that produced them. If the Court’s decision favours PDP it will leave Siminialaye Fubara as unopposed Governorship candidate. Again, by sending his politically avowed enemies to self-exile Governor Wike must have achieved a seamless transition from himself to PDP governorship candidate Siminialaye Fubara come 11th March, 2023.
